LOB Game Ball - This custom designed game ball was specially designed and made as part of the development for the new franchise and game LOB (Love Of Bocce) developed by our Client in Toronto.  Played by tossing a Bocce-like ball onto a synthetic grass playing field, the game piece was quite a challenging exercise as we had to achieve a certain weight and rollability to navigate the topography of the playing field.  To achieve the weight requirements, we chose to create a perfectly balanced metal core which was then cast with a rubberized polymer on the outside.  Due to the unique geometric texture of the ball, EDM was employed to create the mold which was then used to cast the rubberized ball exterior around the metal core.
