About

Design Thinking is non-linear and connective problem solving. It draws inspiration and knowledge from an array of varying fields and asks how can we make connections to devise creative, novel, functional and beautiful solutions?

This is our guiding principle at E-W-D as we continually strive to design non-conventional, innovative and award-winning solutions for Products, Architecture & Interiors and Visual Communication.

Eric Wang, Principal

Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture & Landscape Design at the University of Toronto in 2002. Having an extensive career starting first in Architecture, he established his own multidisciplinary design practice in 2006 to further explore Product Design while also engaging in Architecture, Interiors and Concept Design & Development. A love of the scale and detailing that comes with product design, coupled with his passionate knowledge in digital design and fabrication, he has honed his skills and understanding of the art over several years building on his already existing knowledge, techniques  and principals of architectural design.

Eric has also been actively involved as a professor of design at various universities in Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong including Ryerson Polytechnic University Faculty of Interior Design, Humber College School of Design, LaSalle University of Design and Hong Kong Polytechnic University's School of Design. Inspired by the wealth of knowledge, mentorship, perspective and good profesional advice he had the privilege to receive from several of his professors at the University of Toronto, he has a passion for academic discourse and helping the next generation of young designers understand design and make it through the very challenging journey of design school and beyond.
